Rev. Funky D Memorial Scholarship

Darryl Quesenberry, aka the Rev Funky D - or, as many originally knew him, “Animal” - was a legendary keyboardist, drummer, and bandleader. He mentored many young local artists, bringing them into the Tampa Bay jam family and inspiring the next generation of jam musicians. This scholarship is awarded by the Blueberry Patch specifically to help young artists bring their original music to life.

Abigail Rush is the lead vocalist and principal songwriter for local band An Echo Remains (which also bears her initials). Her debut EP “Breakdown” was written about the sudden untimely passing of her father Tim Rush, who was a dear friend of Chris’s. Listen to her album below.
